This is the second BIMA tech event curated by BIMA’s Tech Council, and it’s all about learning from and providing insight to the BIMA Tech Leader community to get through this challenging time.
Coronavirus is forcing technical teams globally to work remotely to solve ever increasing challenges with systems, hosting, applications, and innovative solutions. What are the right approaches for Tech Leaders heading up these teams? How can you foster innovation and teamwork with everyone working in isolation?

This virtual roundtable is for Senior Tech Leaders to learn from each other, and to hear from expert speakers about what’s working now and what everyone expects to face next. This is your chance to speak openly about what you are facing with your team, and to exchange advice with peers and experts going through the same challenges.
Why?
We want to help tech leaders get through this difficult period. We want to expose you to practical, usable technology insights that you can take back to your team and action immediately.
Additionally, the Tech Council wants to hear your views on how it can better support its members and overcome the challenges aired.

Peter Barker, CTO at Rufus Leonard
Peter leads the 30-strong technology team at Rufus, and is responsible for delivering properly engineered technology solutions to deliver the promise of our customer experience teams. He built his first website in late 1994 and has been involved in a number of UK digital firsts, including Internet Banking with Lloyds Bank and with Mercedes-Benz creating the first manufacturer platform to sell cars directly to the public. Since 2001 he has had overall responsibility for our technology platform choices and the process and standards underpinning how we design, build, run and support business critical solutions for clients such as The Gym Group, British Red Cross & Stagecoach Group. Currently Peter is involved in creating solution architecture for an international accommodation and hotel chain combining Smart Building IoT, mobility technology and behavioural economics to deliver a complete connected community.
