Posted by BIMA

Join us for an interactive and inclusive roundtable with BIMA’s DE&I Council, where no shame is attached to any conversation.

Recruitment is a tricky process and you want to make sure you do it well. Businesses have a moral imperitive to make sure that their recruitment practices are fair and equitable. When thinking about diversity and recruitment, there are many things to consider to protect your company and to avoid any risk to your business. In this session, our guest speaker Halima Khan from Journey HR will talk us through inclusive recruitment best practices and how to avoid the common pitfalls.

In this safe room, we will aim to recap on what is recruitment best practice with a diversity lense and to create the opportunity for people to discuss and debate, and ask further about certain topics. In addition to some hints and tips for inclusive hiring, we plan to also discuss:

  • Is positive discrimination a good or a bad thing?
  • Should companies have representation targets?
  • Are recruitment practices always suitable for those with neurodivergence?

As well as any other topics that come up !

If you are an HR professional, in a talent team, or interested in DE&I initiatives then this is the Roundtable for you.

BIMA’s DE&I Council want to ensure that the workplace is an inclusive environment where everyone is welcomed, this is where the concept of this event was born. The idea is for attendees to feel safe and supported to learn and develop. Attendees should come to the roundtable equipt with ideas/issues they might want to discuss.

We hope you can make it!
