At BIMA, we understand the pivotal role of nurturing team skills for driving success. That’s why we have decided to join forces with Impact Futures, BIMA Upskilling Expert and the UK’s fastest growing training provider, to help BIMA Members invest in and grow their leadership teams.

Together, we invite BIMA Members to embark on a transformative journey through the BIMA Leadership and Management Academy for fully government-funded training for your staff.

*Please note these courses are funded via the Apprenticeship Levy Scheme and are only available to team members who work at least 50% of the year in England*

*These courses will cease to be funded via the government from Sept 2026 – enrolments prior to 31st Aug will be fully-funded throughout the duration. Enrol by 31st July 2026 to secure your place!*

Each training course focuses on developing individuals’ skills and abilities to effectively lead and manage teams and organisations. These courses combine practical work experience with classroom-based learning to equip participants with the necessary knowledge and competencies to excel in leadership roles.

These courses are endorsed by ILM (Institute of Leadership & Management), providing an industry recognised qualification designed to enhance the skills, knowledge, and competencies of individuals in leadership and management roles.

Level 3 Team Leader or Supervisor - Funded (Commercial cost of £4,500)

This level 3 training programme develops focused, high achieving, and knowledgeable leaders who realise excellent results. Cohorts launching every month.

Who is this for?

It is suitable for those taking their first step into line management, as well as those who are experienced in managing a team or a project with clearly-defined outcomes.

What will your learn?

You will learn valuable methods to enhance performance and receive comprehensive training in vital leadership areas: people management, relationship building, delivering results, and self-management.

Once completed, you can become an associate or member of the Institute of Leadership and Management or Chartered Management Institute. With experience, you could also progress onto our Level 5 Operations & Departmental Manager apprenticeship programme.

Entry requirements

You must have been a UK, EEA, or EU resident for at least the past three years to undertake this training programme.

How will you learn?

You will receive online training and support, including a personalised approach based on your learning style and needs, guided by an initial online assessment.

At the end of your programme, an independent assessor will evaluate your acquired knowledge, skills, and behaviours in an end-point assessment (EPA).

Duration

18 months.

Level 5 Operations or Departmental Manager - Funded (Commercial cost of £7,000)

This level 5 training programme develops the management skills which improve business productivity and profitability.

Equivalent of a Bachelor’s Degree

Who is this for?

It is suitable for junior managers looking to gain an understanding of management practices and techniques, but is also beneficial as refresher training for experienced managers.

Once completed, you can become an associate or member of the Institute of Leadership and Management or Chartered Management Institute.
