BIMA PM / AM Community Relaunch | Liverpool

We are delighted to be relaunching our BIMA Community for project managers, but we know that often there is a close relationship between project managers and account managers. Althought we have different roles, there is much crossover and we are keen that this new community explores this and offers support for those working in both project management and account management.

Our first event will explore the roles and responsibilities of Account Managers and Project Managers. This age old agency dynamic has stood the test of time however what does the future hold?

Our panel will talk from their own experiences and will stimulate discussion for the group to engage.

Valerie Bounds, Head of Digital, Uniform

She is a specialist in digital strategy, user experience and project delivery with extensive experience leading accounts for national/ global advertising agencies, as well operating as an independent consultant for agencies and businesses.

Samantha Fawson, Head of DPM, PH Creative

With over 13 years agency experience, Sam began her career as an Account Executive. She subsequently made the jump from Client Services to Project Management in 2010. Now she heads up Operations at Ph Creative, overseeing a team of 40+ people.

Sam’s unique strengths lie with her agility and adaptability. She’s able to use her PM experience to refine and streamline processes, leading to increased profitability. Sam is a firm believer of combining a variety of approaches to get the job done well and using a blended approach of PM methodologies.

Mike Hazlehurst, Head of Client Services, PH Creative

I joined Ph.Creative in 2010 after 3 years working for another digital agency. It was a natural move given that my brother Dave was already involved in the business. Initially, I worked in Valencia, managing the search clients and managing the team back in Liverpool. After 4 years I moved back to head up the Inbound team.

Relationships are central to everything I do. Being commercially focused and having an innate ability to problem solve are also key. I also discovered a passion for people management; working with someone to hone their skills and forge their path.

In the last few years, the business has evolved to become more focused around Employer Brand. In April 2017 I joined the board of directors, responsible for our Client Services department.
