About the council

Behind the growth and innovation of any industry are its people. We have a duty of care to look after and support their physical, emotional, and psychological needs for sustainable growth.

Council Co-Chair

Deanne (Dee) Walsh, HR and Wellbeing Lead at Mando

I have worked in HR within North West agencies for 10 years, since 2015 at Mando in Liverpool as HR and Wellbeing Lead.  I also worked as a volunteer Counsellor with Childline and Shout the Crisis Text line.  In 2018 I reduced my hours with Mando, as I had retrained as an MHFA England instructor and wanted to deliver adult and youth mental health training to prevent (or at least minimise) poor mental health.  I am also a trainer for Drinkaware, Burnt Cheft Project and Chasing the Stigma

Working in both an agency and as a trainer means that I have immense empath in the training room for Managers and Staff (being both myself) and also can bring my wellbeing knowledge into Mando to support the wellbeing of the team

I am delighted to be a Co-Chair of the BIMA Wellbeing Council, helping to raise awareness around both positive and poor mental health and to support the BIMA community
