About the council

The BIMA Immersive Technologies Think Tank was established to inspire, provoke and educate BIMA members and wider industry on the power and potential of immersive technologies.

We’re working to inform the national debate on how to create better immersive experiences and explores new ways to make immersive valuable. We do that by publishing industry-respected white papers and best practice guidelines, hosting events and building an ever-evolving suite of inspiring case studies.

Perry Mason, Head of Digital, Territory Studio

Perry Mason is Head of Digital at Territory Studio where he leads a best-in-class team of designers, developers and thinkers to create award-winning digital experiences which allow audiences to immerse and interact in new worlds, whilst driving business objectives.

The digital team work with a vast array of sectors, creating products and experiences for fashion houses, tech and video game IPs, as well as automotive and consumer brands.

Territory Studio’s diverse portfolio includes work for the likes of Coca-Cola, Google, Nike, Niantic, Audi, Marvel, Netflix, and Sony Pictures.

Council Co-Chair

Emma Cooper, Knowledge Transfer Manager – Creative Industries, Innovate UK Business Connect

Emma Cooper is an accomplished creative business leader, strategist, consultant and producer with over 20 years experience in interactive entertainment across multiple platforms from 2D to fully immersive experiences. She’s worked on a number of Bafta winning projects, including producing a game that was recreated by astronauts aboard the International Space Station. Emma is in the BIMA 100 hall of fame, on The Children’s Media Conference’s advisory committee and a director on the board of the digital arts organisation The Space.

Having spent a long time making things with technology Emma has stepped into a different role at Innovate UK Business Connect working hard to support and connect others to find funding, sustainability and growth in their own creative businesses.
