Marie first started coding as part of her biology degree course, during which she learned Pascal. A few years later, she woke up with the urge to make websites for a living. Fast forward to the present day and Marie is a senior developer and leads our front-end team.
A key element of Marie’s role is to use her expertise in digital to support client projects with detailed discovery and research phases.
Marie excels in digital strategy and planning and has led a number of high-profile discovery projects for clients including Crown Commercial Service, Department of Health and Social Care (DHSC), and W3C. Marie’s approach is empathetic and pragmatic. She carefully balances the needs of the stakeholders and users with technical constraints and high-level business considerations.
As part of the leadership team, Marie mentors our team of front-end developers and heads our efforts to define, implement and maintain our front-end standards and best practices – including a strong focus on accessibility.
Marie has been the lead developer on our biggest project to date – the W3C website redesign. We have been working in the open, so all of Marie’s decisions have been scrutinised by the global developer community. Marie approached the project with conviction and commitment.
Marie is an excellent communicator. Whether writing blog posts or speaking at conferences she brings passion, professionalism, and expertise to topics such as front-end development, CMSs, accessibility, and agency life.
Marie speaks four languages and will happily talk to you in French, Italian, Dutch, or English!
