Robert is Chair of the BIMA Blockchain council and CEO of Wirehive, a hosting consultancy entirely focused on the needs of digital agencies and their clients. A child of the early internet, he started his career in technology as a solution architect cutting his teeth on the high profile site launches of Virgin.com, Virgin Galactic, and the BRIT Awards first online voting system. With 10 years experience in the industry he’s had plenty of opportunity to use his unique blend of technical knowledge and commercial experience to deliver large scale hosting platforms for the likes of Indy100, PlayStation and ITV.
Since founding Wirehive in 2011 Robert has focused the business on helping the UK digital community excel. In addition to supporting countless BIMA events and youth initiatives such as Digital Day and Digital Wave, Robert created the Wirehive 100 awards and league table to recognise digital excellence outside of London. Now in their sixth year the awards have raised the profile of over 200 independent digital agencies. Not content with throwing the best digital party in the South, this year Wirehive joined forces with Kyan to run Web Expo Guildford (WXG), an annual not-for-profit conference on digital trends and innovation for the South East.
