Over the past 30 years I have worked in commercial and leadership roles in the B2B IT/ technology, software, telecoms and creative marketing industries with both listed corporate and private companies such as Fujitsu, PTC, Energis, Cable & Wireless, bigmouthmedia, Digitas / LBi, Cupid plc and First Utility.
Throughout my career I have been part of a number of mergers and takeovers, led three exits and also acquired a business. I gained CEO experience with an AIM listed digital pureplay and am an alumnus of The Windsor Leadership Trust (CEO Programme).
I have led and optimised businesses; both agency and client side which allows me to bring a unique perspective from being provider, seller, and buyer of a wide range of creative, tech and digital services.
My focus now is working with CEO’s, senior leadership teams and shareholders to help them diagnose and identify their challenges and limiting factors, plan for growth and then support them to achieve their objectives.
Based in Edinburgh, I am married to Lindsay and have two sons Joseph and Angus who take up a good deal of my spare time. I’m a proud Geordie and Newcastle United fan and am becoming ever more optimistic about their chances of winning something silver.
