Nuclear Negotiator is a browser-based game designed to educate the policy community about the complexities of nuclear arms control decision-making and negotiations. The game puts the player in the seat of a chief negotiator of a nuclear-armed state for 24 hours of negotiations.
As the player navigates through a series of time-bound ’choose your own adventure’-style scenarios influenced by intelligence, disinformation, media, and historic experiences, the game goes on to educate the player about how the process of nuclear decision-making is not linear, and help players see more multi-faceted possibilities in policy outcomes. The games serves as an experiential awareness tool as it is based on emperical data to realistically simulate the experience of being a policy negotiator. Sitting at the intersection of education, policy analysis, and interactive technology, Nuclear Negotiator is a one of a kind learning experience in the field of nuclear policy making.
