On October 10th, in an intimate setting in Soho’s creative quarter, something great happened…
LAB Group launched LABKey – a dedicated space for senior-level marketing and technology leaders to come together for a full afternoon schedule of keynotes, panel discussions and presentations hosted by our specialist agencies.
LAB Founder and CEO Jonny Tooze kicked off proceedings with a view of where we are today and what tomorrow could be, talking on how totalexperience and composability are key to our group strategy.
Followed by Max Wiggins, Head of Strategy at VERJ, giving a fun and thought-provoking presentation on ‘The Cost of Not Knowing’, which teased Group Marketing Director Kane Daniel Ricca for picking the wrong door – goat (you’ll have to wait for the recordings to find out more on that)… or was it the right door!
Group Head of Digital Matt Webb cut to the chase talking through ‘The Composable Approach’ and the power of MACH, he then hosted a brilliant discussion with Mark Harvey of Superdry, easyJet and Whitbread, where we were treated to a wealth of stimulating conversation on experience-first design, micro KPIs, omnichannel and more.
Founder and CEO of Reflect Digital Becky Simms led the room through a standard and fascinating journey of buying a corner sofa and showed us how important a connected user-journey is in her keynote ‘Put Your Money Where Your Customers Are’.
Raised by Wolves Founder Sophie Coyne captured our attention and declared that with the ever developing macro-economic situation perfection is out and authenticity is in, collecting a series of empty commitments from brands who have missed the mark and what the ‘new breed’ of brand needs to do in order to ‘Achieve Authenticity in Comms’.
The day closed with Studio Blup CMO Laura Lane ‘Defining The Reset Generation’ and sharing findings from research conducted for their recent BLUPX event. Proving that the common perceptions around GenZ are actually misconceptions, compounding the fact that authenticity needs to be at the core of influencer marketing.
We want to say a huge thank you to all of our guests, partners, clients and colleagues who joined us yesterday. For those who didn’t have a chance to be in the room, we will be sharing a whole collection of footage from the day soon. Make sure you’re following LAB Group on LinkedIn, and you’ll be the first to know when it drops.
