We are beyond thrilled to announce the champions of the 2022 Digital Day competition! This year’s event was a tremendous success, with digital agencies from all across the UK joining forces to to inspire the next generation about the world of digital.

Thanks to the support of our incredible BIMA members, students were given a glimpse into the exciting world of digital, discovering the numerous opportunities and career paths available in the industry. The students were challenged to put their digital skills to the test with sponsored challenges provided by Primark and Royal Mail.

Primark – SUSTAINABILITY

Primark is a leading international clothing retailer in 14 countries – and growing. Everything they do is built around everyday affordability: from great quality essentials to stand out style, trend setters to multigenerational families, everyone is welcome at Primark. Primark is changing the way they design and make their clothes, and Primark Cares is their vision of how they want to make more sustainable fashion affordable for everyone.

This year’s Digital Day challenge was about sustainability and how digital can play a part in improving the experiences, tools, and services they offer to educate customers and make fashion kinder to our planet for us, and for future generations.

Royal Mail– INCLUSIVITY

The Royal Mail is over 500 years old but still as important as ever, even in this Digital age. The Royal Mail plays a leading role in connecting millions of people nationwide. We use their services for sending cards and parcels around special occasions, for everyday tasks such as shopping and rely on them for important mail we receive from Doctors, Banks etc. Over the past two years, during periods of widespread lockdown or personal isolation, Royal Mail deliveries have been a lifeline with postal workers often providing vital contact for vulnerable residents living on their own.

This year’s challenge was about inclusivity and how we can create the ‘Digital Doorstep’ of the future for sending and receiving parcels for everyone: young, old, unable to afford travel, living with a disability or at a higher risk in crowded environments.
