Athlon Appoints Justin Cooke as Non-Exec Director

Award-winning design and technology company, Athlon, has appointed Justin Cooke, renowned creative entrepreneur and former WPP agency leader, as Non-Executive Director.

An entrepreneur, investor, and advisor with over 25 years at the intersection of media, technology, and brand, Cooke brings deep experience in building and scaling creative businesses with global impact. He founded the digital agency Fortune Cookie in 1997, growing it into one of the UK’s leading independents before selling to WPP in 2012, where he became CEO of WPP Digital-owned POSSIBLE.

Across his career, Cooke has served as Vice Chair of UNICEF UK and advised or backed category-defining companies such as Spotify, Klarna, and Trustpilot as a Venture Partner at Northzone (US$4 billion AuM).

At Athlon, Cooke will draw on his extensive experience leading and scaling creative and digital businesses to help shape the company’s next phase of growth. His deep understanding of brand, storytelling, and emerging technology, combined with a global network across media, marketing, and the creative industries, will support Athlon in expanding its reach, deepening client partnerships, and amplifying its position as a world-class design and technology company.
