BIMA AGM 2016

Natalie Gross, BIMA Chair said: “Both Tarek and I are proud to be leading BIMA, which is a critical tie for our industry. Digital communications are now heavily integrated and well served by other creative and marketing bodies. Meanwhile, we are entering into a new era of digital, driven by accelerated change in consumer behaviour, automation, Artificial Intelligence and data at scale, all enabled by major platforms, cloud services and emerging technologies.”

“This new digital frontier is now being led by agencies, consultancies and tech companies of all shapes, ages and sizes, driving transformation and innovation in Britain. BIMA will be powering that change by creating an organisation that develops and supports the individual talent Britain needs to compete on a world stage.”

The new strategy will see the introduction of a new structure for BIMA, along with redefining the organisational values and introducing strategic partnerships.

Tarek Nseir, TH_NK CEO and BIMA Chair said: “BIMA’s new focus will be entirety future facing. Our education programmes will help ensure that further and higher education supports the needs of our industry and our Awards will recognise those that are shaping the future of our industry. As part of this new strategy we have completely redesigned the way the the association is organised. BIMA is a community of communities, and our new structure will mean that our community leaders will make up our future Executive board, with representatives of every region and area of interest working together to drive our industry forward.”

“Finally, for BIMA to fundamentally power Britain’s digital industry we need to combine our membership with the industry leaders that are shaping the environment we work within. As such, BIMA is forming a number of industry partnerships with major players that have a vested interest in supporting Britain’s digital industry.”

Nseir and Gross take over the reins from former Chair Adam Graham, CEO of The Marketing Group, and Vice Chair Jen Topping, EVP at Beano Studios who have both stepped down after their three year tenure leading BIMA.
