Despite being one of the fastest growing and forward thinking sectors in the UK, gender diversity and inclusivity is still a huge issue facing the tech industry. Specifically:
– Just 17% of those working in the UK technology sector are female
– Only 5% of leadership positions in the tech industry are held by women
– Up to 78% of students can’t name a famous female working in tech
– As many as 26% of women are put off seeking a career in tech due to the sector being more male dominated
