We sat down with Chris Jones, Managing Partner at Space & Time to talk about how BIMA is making a difference for him and the team:

Give us the elevator pitch for your company.

In a nutshell, If you are a brand with ambitions to gain market share, interpret and act on opportunities in the marketing landscape, plan for growth and improve performance, we are the right partner for you.

Briefly, tell us about a typical day – or – tell us about something interesting/unusual/fantastic that happened this month.

Something fantastic that happened this month is that our incredibly talented account director Emma Williams was named in the BIMA 100 listing, which celebrates the 100 people who are shaping the British digital industry. We are so proud to have Emma’s hard work and commitment both at Space & Time and within the wider industry recognised in this way.

As for my typical day, it varies hugely but generally kicks off with calls with the team, clients, tech providers, media owners and other industry peers. I tend to start the week with a long list of people to call and will generally tick each of them off by Friday afternoon. Covid or no Covid, I place huge importance on this regular communication.

What do you love most about what you do?

I’ve been in this industry for 12 years so I could make this more complicated than it needs to be but ultimately bringing teams and capabilities together to create work that delights our clients is what I love most. The feeling I have when reviewing our client satisfaction surveys, our award wins, testimonials, the receipt of news of a successful pitch and indeed the positivity this infuses the business with, are what gets me out of bed every morning. No question.

What’s the best thing about being a BIMA member?

At Space & Time, we are fairly new BIMA members and are coming up to our one year anniversary. Connecting with and sharing ideas with like-minded businesses and stakeholders has been hugely beneficial. It’s been a challenging year for everyone but being able to have meaningful conversations about real experiences that we can all empathise with just reminds me we’re all in this together.

It’s also exciting to be part of an organisation that is driving the industry forward. Individuals from across Space & Time are getting involved in the BIMA councils, which aim to drive innovation across the digital industry.

Please share any Interesting content and pics which we can share.

Our programmatic lead Eliette Cremer recently took part in a BIMA webinar called ‘Demystifying Programmatic. In this article, she summarises the key discussion points from the event.
