The CMO’s Guide to Growth: Mairead Connolly, Reddit, Inc. to keynote at Bristol marketing event hosted by Launch

The CMO's Guide to Growth

Mairead Connolly, EMEA Agency Development Lead at Reddit, Inc. will keynote Bristol and Exeter-based performance marketing agency Launch‘s annual ‘The CMO’s Guide to Growth’ event.

Taking place at Bristol’s iconic Watershed on Thursday, 12th March from 9am to 2pm, the event will bring together some of the sharpest marketing minds in the South West, and beyond.

‘The CMO’s Guide to Growth’ is designed to help marketing leaders tackle the challenges keeping them awake at night. This year the event will address one of the most pressing challenges facing businesses: sustainable growth.

Operating against a backdrop of a challenging UK economy, customer acquisition costs rising and diminishing returns setting in, marketing leaders are under increasing pressure to make budgets stretch further than ever. As a result, many find themselves trapped in a cycle of short-term tactics such as relying on discounting. This limits a brand’s ability to compete, scale and grow sustainably.

At the same time, the advent of AI is changing the way customers discover and interact with brands. Mairead’s keynote, ‘Conversations Drive Brand Visibility in a Zero Click World’, will address how human interactions are helping brands to shape the AI transition. She will offer invaluable insight into the role Reddit, Inc.’s communities are playing in AI search. As well as sharing advice on how brands can show up on the platform in a way that feels authentic and builds genuine trust rather than gaming an algorithm.

Jaye Cowle, Founder and CEO of Launch, said: “We’re proud to be bringing this event back to Bristol, a city that punches well above its weight when it comes to creative and media talent. Having Mairead join us to share her perspective on Reddit, Inc. and AI search, alongside the Launch team, means attendees will leave with genuinely useful tools for staying visible as the way people discover brands changes beyond recognition.”

The event will also give attendees a first look at Launch’s new strategic framework, the ‘Seven Levers of Growth’, built to help senior marketers move beyond daily bidding wars toward a sustainable growth engine. The Launch team will show how the seven levers can be incorporated into performance media strategy and budgets to create long-term demand rather than just capturing it.

The full agenda will cover the changing landscape of brand discovery across fragmented digital journeys, how to turn uncertainty into opportunity, and the future of search and creative strategy for the year ahead.

Jaye added: “We’re seeing brilliant brands getting stuck fighting over the same expensive clicks at the bottom of the funnel while their long-term growth stalls. This event is about showing them there’s a different engine available, one that creates demand rather than just chasing it.”

‘The CMO’s Guide to Growth’ runs from 9am to 2pm at the Watershed in Bristol, a venue that has long been a hub for independent thinking and creative industries in the city.
