For International Men’s Day we wanted to bring an important conversation about Positive Male Role Models with an all male panel with a wealth and range of experience.
This is a panel discussion that talks about the crucial role for positive male role models in society today. Our panel comes from diverse backgrounds, personally and professionally. Their discussion will span sports, inclusion, marginalisation, disability and social inequality among other factors playing a part in how men can help young adults.
What to expect:
An open, honest, challenging discussion of the world where men are needing to step-up and be really conscious and engaged in their roles and the potential we all have to be figures for young adults to look to for inspiration and example.

Lee Doyle CEO Brentford FC Community Sports Trust
Lee joined Brentford FC Football in the Community Programme in 1988. After becoming Community Manager in 1994 he developed a strategy to broaden activities, working towards founding a Charitable Trust.
The Trust was launched at the House of Commons in 2005 and was one of the first professional football clubs community programmes to adopt Charitable status, increasing the scope for growth and innovation. Brentford FC has been awarded National Community Club of the Year four times. The Trust now employs over 160 staff and volunteers delivering 13,500 physical activity and mentoring sessions per annum for all ages and abilities, focusing on health, education and employment. Promotion to the Premier League has further increased creativity and ambition with the Trust currently developing an apprenticeship for the Sport for Development sector and expanding into projects such as a Social Café training people experiencing homelessness. Core programmes in female and disability football and activity on housing estates are continually expanding and the Trust is currently developing several new Playzone sites across multiple areas.
The Trust was a co-signatory on the S106 stadium planning document linked to increasing social impact and recently reported social value outputs of £70.6m in 2022-23. As a result of the new stadium the Trust works from a purpose-built Stadium Hub that also shares space with NHS West London mental health recovery college which is a catalyst in creating new partnership initiatives. The Trust is also a strategic partner in The Gunnersbury Park Sports Hub, one of the largest Park Life developments in the country.
Lee chaired London United the co-operative of 16 professional club community organisations (CCO’s) through the pandemic. The aim of London United is to provide a unified response to community development across London. Lee was awarded a British Empire Medal in the King’s New Years Honours List in 2024.
