BIMA Read the Room | People Skill Development Masterclass

Posted by BIMA

If you want to give your communication skills a boost this year, this is for you.

This event is fully booked. If you would like to be added to the reserve list please email events@bima.co.uk.

What to expect

Web design, digital transformation, mobile tech – it doesn’t matter what your service focus is, this is the one workplace challenge that everyone in the digital sector can relate to:

Knowing how to communicate something to get the best outcome.

Since the pandemic and the shift towards an online workplace, professionals at all levels have struggled with soft skill development.

That’s why BIMA has partnered with recruitment experts We Are Adam, and self-leadership e-learning platform Digital Craft Academy to create this brand new event series.

“Read the Room” aims to support the North West Digital Community in tackling the most difficult areas of communication in the workplace, so we can start bridging the soft skill development gap for both employers and employees.

We’ll cover a variety of topics, but all of them are focused on creating an audience of confident communicators by the time you leave – no matter what your challenge!

Whether that’s:

  • Having difficult conversations about someone’s performance
  • Standing your ground with challenging clients
  • Managing your reaction to tricky personalities
  • Learning to “manage up” and set expectations when you’re struggling to cope
  • Navigating remote leadership and issues with visibility

This event is for all levels of seniority, but you’d find it especially valuable if you’re:

  • An agency founder or owner who’s looking to improve communication across the business – including the new recruits coming in.
  • A senior manager who wants to elevate their leadership skills and get the most out of their team members.
  • A rising star, career-changer or early-stager, who’s eager to strike the right impression within their organisation.

We all love to be collaborators, but sometimes we need to be a challenger.

Join us and learn how to stand your ground, gain confidence in your interactions with your team and get your voice heard – without the fear of trampling on others.
