BIMA’s Digital Dinger
The last few years have been a funny old time in the industry, especially for those starting their career. New starters in digital and tech have experienced a brand new way of working without really seeing what it was like ‘before’, and everything from company culture, career pathways, and client relationships, to innovation and the use of technology, have changed forever.
As we start to move on and work out what the future of the industry looks like, we wanted those who have not experienced the ‘classic’ agency life to get some insight into the industry they’re now part of with BIMA’s Digital Dinger series.
An ongoing series of social events designed to get you meeting new people whilst learning from some industry veterans, each event will be a mix of those on the start of their digital career journey and those who are ready to guide the next generation.
Each month we’ll invite different guest speakers to talk through their career journeys so far and share real case studies of their digital successes (dingers, if you will) and the not-so-successful twists and turns that they learned from.

VJ Anand, Executive Creative Director EMEA and Global Creative Operations, VaynerMedia EMEA
Previously the Senior Vice President of Creative at Indonesia’s first decacorn tech giant, GO-JEK; as well as Head of Creative and Managing Partner at VaynerMedia APAC – VJ is now Executive Creative Director of VaynerMedia EMEA. He is a digital native with global agency experience who specialises in helping brands go viral and capture attention.
He has revitalised creative departments and shaped their reputations, leading to several awards (Cannes, NY Fest, London International Awards). However, his biggest achievement has been winning the hearts of consumers as well as former colleagues in creative teams, many of whom are now creative heads at other agencies.
During his time at VaynerMedia APAC, VJ was instrumental in kickstarting the office and helped the agency grow from 4 to 221 in just four years. He led projects on regional accounts for Google, Disney+, Prudential, and Subway and delivered global content work for Skincare Giant SK-II. VJ was recently nominated for the South East Asian Creative Person of the Year Award.
He currently oversees creative output for VaynerMedia EMEA, including NatWest Group, Durex, Indeed, WeWork, TikTok and Zalando.
