The digital industry has grown at twice the rate of the broader economy in recent years, with the digitisation and application of emerging technologies accelerating the demand for digital skills beyond supply. This has resulted in an astonishing digital skills gap, which is costing the UK economy £21.8bn each year, and stalling UK plc growth.

To help raise awareness of these issues, we are delighted to announce an all-new content partnership with factual powerhouse, Zinc Media Group, to support the industry in communicating the challenges and investigating possible solutions.

‘Do Digital’ will consist of a series of short films featuring exclusive behind the scenes stories of how things are made, from immersive experiences to apps and games. In doing so, the series will bring to the forefront the types of careers available and spotlight the digital pioneers changing the world around us.

This fresh and modern look at the sector will celebrate successes, highlight innovation and technological advances, and be a platform for the community and members to put forward stories of how they are helping to drive down the skills gap, shot around the country. It will feature human-interest stories from those at the front line of this innovative sector, including contributions from sponsoring partners.

The content is targeted towards school children, parents, teachers, graduates, tech professionals, and emerging talent, in order to influence, engage and celebrate on a national scale. Once production is completed, the series will be shown in schools, on the BIMA website, social media channels and other connected agencies’ platforms.

We are currently seeking sponsors with interesting stories to feature in the documentary series, as well as additional media and distribution partners. To find out how you can be involved, please contact Adam Harrod, Director of Business Programming at Adam.Harrod@ZincMedia.com.
