For years, BIMA’s Liverpool and Manchester communities have been busily representing digital in the North West. Now, we’re extremely excited to announce that BIMA’s northern representation has expanded, restructured and ventured over the Pennines to cover the far more of the north of England.

Ian Finch of Liverpool’s Mando Group will lead the new BIMA North, supported by Louise Finch, BIMA Community Lead for the North and a group of local Community Chairs. J B Cole’s, Josh Bolland will lead the Manchester community, Johnny Read, of Village Software will lead Liverpool, whilst Leeds and Yorkshire will be represented by Lisa Wisniowski of Stickyeyes.

Yorkshire’s BIMA presence has been growing for some time, with a core group who’ve been focused on mental health and wellbeing within the local digital community. By becoming part of a larger northern hub, we’ll be able to ensure that every BIMA member in the North gets to enjoy the same access to our events, to the digital skills agenda and to ensuring their voice is heard.

“Yorkshire is a massively important base for digital skills in the UK with a powerful voice in the industry” says Ian. “I’m delighted that, with BIMA North, we’re able to add Yorkshire’s talents, insight and experience to that of our existing communities to create an even more influential voice for all our northern members.”
