Well, what a night. For the 34th time, the cream of the UK digital and tech industry came together at Victoria House in London to be part of the longest standing and most prestigious digital awards in the UK.
The awards were presented in six categories: Communications & Content; Data & Performance Marketing; Emerging Technology; Transformation & Consultancy; Website & Apps and Product & Service Design.
Each category was divided into five sub categories rewarding achievement on a small budget, innovation, impact, craft and conscience. To find the very best of the best, the BIMA Advance Jury Prize Awards recognised the overall winner in each category. And WAE Globant won the night’s biggest prize, the BIMA Advance Grand Prix, for ‘The World’s Largest Digital Police Force’ a groundbreaking digital transformation for the Metropolitan Police.
There was lots to admire about this year’s winners, but one of the most notable aspects was the sheer breadth and diversity of winners and those on the shortlist. For every household name such as Google or the BBC that won awards, we also saw the likes of Travel Money Club and LOQBOX by Dare rewarded. There was representation from across the UK, and across the breadth of the tech and digital industries.
And it was great to see the awards stretching beyond the technical to, for example, reward innovative ways of attracting and retaining talent (Whitehat) and bringing digital to disadvantaged women (Techmums).
Thanks to everyone who made the nights such a success: to our sponsors, Digital Doughnut, Jahia, Adam, Amoveo, ContentCal, Francis Augusto and Microsoft, our strategic sponsor. Thanks to Creative Equals who continually provide support, and Livity – last year’s grand prix winners – who have become heavily involved with BIMA and who were so involved in bringing the night to life. Thanks to our judges and shadow judges, and thanks to everyone who shared the night with us.
Finally, congratulations to all our amazing winners this year. You can find the complete list of winners here.
