I’m delighted to share the news that I’ve been appointed as the new Managing Director of BIMA, the organisation’s first MD in its 30-year heritage.

This comes at an exciting time for BIMA and for the industry. UK digital leads the world and BIMA has been there since the beginning, with our members looking to us to keep them ahead of the curve, connected and supported. I’m honoured to be leading the delivery and expansion of our services, and to be in a position to make a tangible difference for the people and companies at the cutting-edge of British economic success.

The BIMA team – myself, our staff, Executives and Associates – will be building on the successes of 2013, including BIMA D-Day, our initiative involving 100 agencies and 4,000 school children aimed at bridging the digital skills gap, and the BIMA Awards – the biggest and best awards in British digital. This year marks the 30th anniversary of the Awards so expect big things from us.

Our immediate priorities include the rollout of new events and member benefits, as well as extending the value of BIMA membership to communities and specialists under-served elsewhere in the industry.

My appointment as MD completes a period of change at the top of BIMA that has seen Adam Graham (Managing Consultant, Cact.us) take up the chairmanship and Jen Topping (Business Manager at Soho Productions, Microsoft Studios) move into the position of Vice Chair.

Together we’re looking forward to a brilliant year, working hard to serve our members. Please drop me a line if you’d like to get in touch: bridgetbeale@bima.co.uk
