New club executive unveils plans to create over 100 additional digital jobs in the city in the next 12 months

London – Technology company AND Digital has announced its plans to launch a fifth London-based office (or Club as it’s known by AND) in order to support businesses in narrowing their digital skills gaps. The announcement comes as the company’s latest research suggests that data skills in particular are a major challenge to growth for many ambitious companies in the city.

AND’s recently launched Fuelling Growth in an Age of Data report, outlines the capability and skills issues that many UK businesses are facing when it comes to using data to leverage growth.

Among its findings for London, the research found that almost three quarters (70%) of business decision-makers in the capital admit that access to the right experts is stunting their ability to truly capitalise on data for growth. Nearly a quarter (22%) also state that a lack of in-house data skills, is also holding their businesses’ growth aspirations back.

Commenting on AND’s research and planned fifth club launch in London, Paramjit Uppal, Founder of AND Digital, said:

The research calls out a pressing need in the London area for data capabilities, and it is just one aspect of the so-called ‘Digital Skills Gap’ we face as a nation. Data skills are a critical component of the challenge to build the skill-mix, capabilities, mindset and ways of working most London-based organisations are trying to solve.   It’s for this reason that we’re opening a fifth Club in London. We are investing to help organisations accelerate their capabilities and equip themselves with the skills they need to not only survive but thrive in a more uncertain and increasingly digital-first world.undefined

AND’s new London club is set to create another 100 jobs in the city in the next 12 months and will be headed up by new Club Executive Zoe Kelleher. With 20 years of tech experience, Zoe’s career has seen her in leadership positions in global companies such as Inviqa, as well as Webcredible – one of the first to offer dedicated UX services in the UK. As well as heading up AND’s newest London Club, she’ll also be helping the company to further deepen its XD offering in the market.

Commenting on her new role, Zoe, commented:

“What attracted me to joining AND was its unique approach to equipping businesses with the attributes needed for sustainable success and growth. Like AND, I truly believe that tech and data alone can only take businesses so far.

“As its newest Club Executive, I’ll not only get an opportunity to work with clients to build to their urgent tech needs, but also collaborate with them to attract great people, build the right skill-mix, and help them in achieving the culture and ways of working they’ll need to truly thrive.

“AND’s approach to putting people at the heart of everything it does is a real example of how all businesses should operate. Its ‘club model’ means we can keep the close relationships and individuality of a small company, while also providing the scale of impact of a large company in the work we do with clients. This has been a winning formula for AND, as demonstrated by its explosive growth in London and the UK to date.”

This latest addition to AND’s Southern Hub, will build on the success of its four other clubs, which among them count Premier Inn and Talk Talk as clients. Having seen year-on-year growth for its services in the city, the new club will allow AND to source the talent it needs from among London’s graduate community – one of the biggest tech talent pools in Europe.

The company currently works with clients across a range of sectors, including financial services, media, telecommunications, retail, hospitality and the public sector. As one of Europe’s fastest growing companies, it now has a total of 20 clubs in the UK, along with an international club in Amsterdam which opened in March 2021.
