Biography

Ann Longley is an independent strategy and creative consultant, researcher and lecturer who has worked in the digital industry for +25 years.

She has helped private, public, and voluntary sector organisations modernise their operations and approach to stakeholder engagement and customer experience using digital data, content, and technology.

She has previously held digital leadership roles with WPP, Hays, The Disasters Emergency Committee, and the Prince’s Trust. She was appointed Fellowship Councillor with the RSA from 2018-2000 and was appointed to their Digital Steering Group working to digitally connect the RSA’s 30,000 Fellows.

She is also a Community Lead with the British Interactive Media Association (BIMA) for BIMA in the South working with our members to create pathways from education to employment in the Digital Industry.

Working at the intersection of culture, creativity, and technology, Ann specialises in agile and playful approaches to ‘human-centred’ design, participatory action research, and co-creation. As a consultant, she facilitates design workshops, delivers strategy and research projects, and helps circular industry start-ups with their marketing strategies.

Ann was a Visiting Lecturer with the Business School at Greenwich University for 10 years before moving to the Game Development programme in the School of Computing and Mathematical Sciences (CMS) where she teaches part-time.
