Creative Council

To illustrate the power of UK digital creativity, and to showcase and celebrate the best of it.

About the council

The UK is fortunate to be able to draw from a rich pool of digital creativity. The Creative Council was established to celebrate that creativity, explore our craft and encourage emerging talent. The Council also showcases the great work created and produced in the UK, working to create opportunities for members and partners to collaborate with like-minded organisations in Britain and beyond, and promote the UK as a centre for open, diverse and world class creativity.

It’s an area he’s become deeply motivated on and is speaking at Interaction 21 Conference about.

Council Co-Chair

Dave Ward, Creative Director at CreateFuture

Dave is Director of Design & Creative Teams at CreateFuture, a 500+ person innovation and design consultancy and one of the UK’s recognised Best Workplaces. He leads a 20-strong design team across strategy, brand, product and service design, working with clients including adidas, Disney, the BBC, abrdn, FNZ and Penguin Random House.

Over his career he’s worked on projects as varied as making snow in Disneyland, racing with the Stig and building fighting robots, alongside the more familiar terrain of simplifying complex propositions for some of the UK’s biggest financial brands. Dave is particularly focused right now on how design earns its place in an AI-native world: how creative teams stay relevant, how craft holds its value, and how the discipline keeps its seat at the table as the rules of production change. It’s the conversation he’s bringing to his co-chair role on the BIMA Creative Council.
