Creative. Designer. Changemaker. Unwavering optimist. Wayne has over 25+ years of industry experience and held creative leadership positions in apac, Europe, and the US. Internationally recognized by industry and the media as a progressive leader in design and digital, he has created numerous innovations, launched some of the world’s most iconic brands and his work has been highlighted as best-in-class by award shows and publications around the world. He regularly writes for several publications and also is highly regarded as a leader in championing craft, young talent, and neurodiversity. Originally from Australia, Wayne is an ex-pro surfer who stumbled into advertising after winning a place at a. W.A.R.D school. After working at famous names in oz, he worked his way around the world and also found time to earn a masters in cognitive sciences along the way.
Previous to coming to London he was a creative director at Jung von matt. He then helped to found Jam before moving to a joint-ECD role across the Engine Froup agencies. Following Engine and a short stint helping a famous tech brand, he was ECD of AKQA and helped the agency win several industry titles and awards. More recently he was the executive creative director at Huge and on the global leadership team. Now Wayne is global principal at Wolff Olins, working across their global studios and helping to advance the branding consultancy’s design and experience offer.
