Biography

I am the product of an unlikely union during the height of social unrest in 1968 France. It was, according to Mark Kurlansky, “The Year that Rocked the World”. My mother, a beautiful, vibrant young woman from the Lorraine in the east. My father, on his first assignment abroad as a freshly minted US Air Force airman. They lived and loved. And, together, we created homes in six countries over the following ten years, moved another four times during the next ten, averaging around 2 years per location.

This nomadic life, no doubt, influenced the shaping of my professional journey i.e. roughly 2 years per organisation, until I went rogue and set up my first company in London in the summer of 2008 – right when the financial crisis swelled into a global nightmare. Yeah, not great timing, but, well, I learned a lot.

I studied mostly bier in Munich (University of Maryland, Munich Campus) and eventually wrapped up my studies at the University of Washington in Seattle, where I focused on development communications, driven by a big idea to help advance the fulfilment of human potential in developing geographies.

I ended up in the world of internet advertising.

Little did I know how big and important the interwebs was going to be.

Fast forward through nearly 10 years of digital media agency adventures (3 in Seattle, 7 in London) followed by nearly 10 more years of entrepreneurial grit (also in London), including go-to-market strategy and sales of both enterprise-level and emerging adtech, martech and analytics software. And still fuelled by a high-octane and inexorable passion for problem-solving and innovation, you’ll now find me imparting as much as I can to a number of promising ventures and tremendously talented entrepreneurs.
