Jellyfish expands into the Nordics with new Copenhagen office

08 May 2019

Jellyfish, a digital partner to some of the world’s leading brands, is today announcing its move into the Nordics with the launch of a new office in Denmark. Based in Copenhagen, the office will be headed up by Bine Aagaard Johanson, who has been appointed managing director.

Johanson brings over 16 years of industry experience to her new role, 11 of which were spent in strategic management and business development positions. Her wide-ranging experience spans national and international publishers including AOL and Yahoo!, technology providers and agencies including PHD Worldwide and Performics Denmark (part of Publicis Media).

Johanson will lead the new office in supporting existing Jellyfish clients including Carlsberg as well as driving new business across the region. As a global Google partner, the new Jellyfish office will also include a fully Google-accredited team that will work closely with clients in the implementation of Google technology and management of their media.

This latest move reflects the agency’s continued year-on-year growth, which currently sits at an average of 45% per annum over the last five years. It also follows the acquisition of digital business Latitude earlier this year, which established Jellyfish in the north of England and expanded its presence in Dubai.

Rob Pierre, chief executive officer at Jellyfish comments: “Supporting brands at a global scale with in-market experts while maintaining an agile and personal service is exactly what we’re aiming to achieve. Bine’s extensive knowledge and expertise makes her the ideal candidate to lead and develop our presence in the Nordics.”

Bine Aagaard Johanson adds: “Working with brands as a consultancy, agency, training and technology partner, Jellyfish is bringing something completely unique and fresh to the Danish market. As an independent business that puts transparency at its heart, Jellyfish is well placed to support today’s brands with their digital strategy and transformation. Having the opportunity to head up the business in this region is a true privilege and I’m excited to be leading the charge.”
