The Future of Blockchain: A BIMA Blockchain Council Roundtable

Join a roundtable discussion with BIMA’s newest council and help inform the Blockchain debate.

Earlier this year, BIMA announced the launch of its Blockchain Council. The council’s aim is to raise awareness of what remains a misunderstood technology by demonstrating its potential for business – as an enabler of cost-effective, traceable supply chains; as an eradicator of accounting errors – even as a solution to electoral fraud.

On 28 November, the Blockchain Council is holding its first roundtable event, bringing together members of the blockchain community with BIMA members and potential council members.

The open discussion will:

• Explore what the BIMA membership and wider industry need from blockchain and the Blockchain Council

• Examine the way blockchain is discussed within the industry, and consider how that discussion needs to evolve

• Consider how latest blockchain trends should influence the aims and work of the council

With representation from those applying blockchain technologies and developing prototypes, and from experts in the commercial, strategic and regulatory arenas, the Blockchain Council is set to be the UK’s definitive blockchain advocate and think tank.

If you could add to the knowledge pool and the debate, we’d love you to join us. If would like to come along, please email rachel@bima.co.uk.
