There’s no better place to uncover what might be about to shape change than SXSW, the world’s largest knowledge sharing festival. That’s why TMW are sending our strategy team to Austin, Texas: to get to grips with the cutting edge in tech, social media, politics and anything that might be key to determining our future.
When they return, they’ll be sharing their findings, and analysing what that could mean for people, brands and society.
What exactly will that include? Well, it’s too soon to say. Last year, we heard about everything from the reality of NFTs and freedom of speech, to the rise of sex tech and whether eating insects might be key to a sustainable future.
Expect to hear the weird, the wonderful, the terrifying, and the optimistic – all wrapped into one event.
Speaker lineup:
Olivia Wedderburn, Social and Influence Director, TMW Unlimited
Olivia Wedderburn is TMW Unlimited’s Social and Influence Director, where she heads up all things content, collaborations, and community. She is a digital and social insight obsessive, with a science meets pop culture approach to creative strategy, and a decade’s experience in executing brand campaigns on social.
Olivia is passionate about staying curious about the industry and beyond, leading internal trends and insight projects, working with industry bodies to provide best in class social guidance.
Olivia is co-chair of the DMA’s Social Media Council, where she is also a judge and event speaker, and was named a BIMA 100 Rising Star in 2020. She is a regular contributor to both industry and consumer publications, talking about all things social and the future of digital.
Fred Brinton, Senior Planner, TMW Unlimited
Fred is an integrated planner, but on occasion focuses on digital and customer engagement projects. With a background in harnessing the power of data and consumer insight to drive strategic thinking and creative work, Fred is fascinated by people and brands, and is an ‘unashamed culture junkie’.
Increasingly, Fred is focused on the possibilities and challenges that the climate crisis poses the industry, and how we might collectively use our thinking and influence to be something better akin to a force for good in troubled times.
