Work is changing, however unlike many tabloid newspapers would have you believe, it’s not going away, well not yet anyway. There is a sector of growth and great need for certain job roles, or even better essential skills that are as crucial in today’s modern world as they will be in tomorrow’s. The first Milk bar of 2018 will be exploring the essential skills 0f 2020, analysing who has them, how you can obtain them and understand just why these skills are the ones that will underpin the jobs of the future.

His role encompasses the development of new opportunities as well as working with existing clients to review and development their digital strategies, digital footprint and their overarching customer engagement online across all channels. Steve is a Digital Specialist with written articles ranging from ‘Unlearning as important as learning’, Digital Transformation Done Right’ and ‘Digital Darwinism’. Previously Steve has worked across all media formats from branding to literature and retail to digital and is well placed to understand the essential skills needed in digital projects of the future.

Leader of Interaction Design at Glasgow School of Art
Inga is the leader of the BA (Hons) Interaction Design programme at Glasgow School of Art, launched in September 2011. Students are challenged to explore the potential of current and emerging technologies in the rapidly changing landscape of networked society. The programme combines technology with visual thinking and creative problem solving where students work with creative code to generate engaging interactive digital media for a wide range of platforms. As well working at GSA, Inga is a qualified architect with a Masters in Information Technology Systems and has been working with digital technology in design and art since the late 1980s.
