What is Digital Day?

A free initiative for both schools and agencies, Digital Day takes place on 14 November and sees digital professionals head back to school for a day to inspire secondary students, and give them insight into a world of digital careers.

Part of BIMA’s Young Talent initiatives, Digital Day is ideal for 13-16 years and offers practical advice on how to get into digital, the depth and breadth of careers available, and gets hands-on experience tackling challenges from our awesome brand sponsors.

All of the assets to run the day are provided by BIMA – and we’ll even take care of matching schools with digital professionals. So why not get involved now!

What happens on the day?

The day is split into two halves and designed flexibly, to work around a normal school day. In the morning – digital professionals introduce their world of work to the students, sharing their own career experiences whilst providing insight into the breadth of careers available in digital.

The afternoon is dedicated to our nationwide competition. Competing for fantastic prizes, students work in teams to complete one of our sponsored challenges with guidance from the digital professionals. The final solutions are then submitted back to BIMA for our judging panel to decide which groups will be crowned Digital Day Champions for 2017.
