Cindy Rose, Microsoft UK

Cindy Rose, Chief Executive Officer, Microsoft UK

Cindy Rose is Microsoft UK CEO & Corporate Vice President. She is responsible for all Microsoft’s product, service and support offerings across the UK, continuing the company’s transformation into the leading productivity and platform company for the mobile-first, cloud-first era.

Prior to joining Microsoft, Cindy led Vodafone’s retail expansion from 350 to over 500 stores and returned the business to growth after 12 consecutive quarters of revenue decline. Before Vodafone, she was Executive Director of Digital Entertainment at Virgin Media.

Until 2019, Cindy was a Non-Executive Director for Informa plc, a FTSE 100 business information, academic publishing and events company. In 2019, she was appointed Non-Executive Director of advertising and media giant WPP. She is a graduate of Columbia University and New York Law School.






Anita Sengupta, ASX

Dr Anita Sengupta, Co - Founder & CPO, Airspace Experience Technologies

Dr Sengupta is an aerospace engineer, rocket scientist, pilot, and veteran of the space programme. In 16 years at NASA her engineering projects included developing the ion propulsion system for the Dawn Mission, the supersonic parachute that landed the Curiosity rover on Mars, and the Cold Atom Lab on board the ISS. 

After leaving NASA she was senior vice presidenr of Virgin Hyperloop, a technology to enable ground travel in excess of airline speeds, and is now Co-Founder and Chief Product Officer at Airspace Experience Technologies (ASX) where she is developing an electric vertical takeoff and landing aircraft for urban air mobility and sustainable aviation.

Dr Sengupta is a Research Associate Professor of Astronautics and Space Technology at the University of Southern California.

Eleanor Watson, Singularity University

Nell Watson - Futurist and AI, Technology Speaker

Eleanor ‘Nell’ Watson is a Machine Intelligence engineer who grew up in Northern Ireland.

She helped pioneer Deep Machine Vision at her company QuantaCorp, which enables fast and accurate body measurement from two photos. Later she taught these techniques to others as author of Machine Intelligence coursebooks for O’Reilly Media.

Nell is Vice-Chairman of the IEEE P7001 Committee creating new safety standards for autonomous systems, and is Co-Founder and Chairman of, a community teaching pro-social behaviours to machines. She serves as a Senior Scientific Advisor to The Future Society at Harvard and holds Fellowships with the British Computing Society and Royal Statistical Society.

 Jamie Bartlett, Author of The Dark Net

Jamie Bartlett is widely regarded as one of the world's foremost experts, analysing the intersection between technology and politics. In his bestseller, The Dark Net, he documented the rise of Internet-enabled subcultures that were often as illegal or dangerous as they were innovative.

In his latest book, The People Vs Tech, he shows us how technology is undermining democracies around the world but also, more importantly, what we can do to stop this dangerous trend. He's a Senior Fellow at Demos and led the Centre for the Analysis of Social Media for a decade. His TED Talk on the dark web has garnered over 5 million views.

Paul Mason, Journalist, Writer and Film-Maker

A journalist, writer and film-maker, Paul speaks regularly to professional audiences about the impact of IT on the economy and society. 

His latest book Clear Bright Future: A Radical Defence of the Human Being explores the challenges posed by the current crisis of democracy and the coming challenge of intelligent machines. 

As economics editor at BBC Newsnight and Channel 4 News, Paul won numerous awards and plaudits. In 2016 he quit public service TV journalism to escape its impartiality constraints. He now writes a weekly column for the New Statesman, contributes to the Guardian, and is a frequent guest on BBC Newsnight, DemocracyNow! BBC Politics Live and BBC Question Time.


Max Amordeluso, Amazon Alexa

Max Amordeluso, Lead Evangelist for Amazon Alexa in Europe

Max is the Lead Evangelist for Amazon Alexa in Europe. His main mission is to introduce Alexa to European developers and demonstrate how they can build natural and delightful voice experiences for customers.

Max has held several technical leadership roles during a career spanning over 18 years—prior to his current role he led the teams that brought Alexa Skills Kit to United Kingdom and Germany, and spent the previous two years leading the Solutions Architects team for Amazon Web Services in Europe. Max is passionate about topics including Human Computer Interaction, the Internet of Things and the materialization of science fiction predictions.

Richard Nockles

Richard Nockles, Creative Director, Sky VR 

Richard Nockles has been at the cutting edge of VR innovation for the last eight years. His company Surround Vision, based in London, produces award winning VR content for a wide range of devices and platforms across documentary and drama formats. Currently seconded as VR Creative Director at Sky VR studios, Richard has helped shape and accelerate the output for their in-house production unit. 
Richard made the move to filmmaking in 2003, producing a slate of drama and documentaries that were distributed globally. Now focussed exclusively in immersive technologies he sees the blend of gaming and entertainment as the perfect opportunity to craft a new style of storytelling.  
Surround Vision are one of the original specialist production companies and have a number of home grown directors and producers who have shaped a house style which integrates motion techniques to elevate audience engagement in VR. The company have produced documentary films for Google, the UN, SKY, BBC, Channel 4 and developed VR apps for a number of platforms and devices.



Chris Gorell Barnes

Chris Gorell Barnes, Founder & CEO, Adjust Your Set & Pollonize 

Chris Gorell Barnes is an entrepreneur at the forefront of media and technology. A content marketing thought leader, Chris founded the global content agency, Adjust Your Set, in 2008. The company helps brands create meaningful content & become publishers by trailblazing new agency models and innovations. One of Chris’ greatest passions is the oceans and marine conservation. After exec-producing the first-of-its-kind documentary, The End of the Line, he co-founded the BLUE Marine Foundation: a new breed of charity that’s already protected over 5-million square KM’s of ocean by creating marine reserves and sustainable fishing models. He is a Goal Keeper & Champion of the UN Global Goals Especially number 14! 


Gail Gallie

Gail Gallie, Co-Founder Project Everyone

Gail Gallie is a business leader with a strong sense of social purpose.

Gail’s background is in marketing and advertising. She has worked for both advertisers and agencies, in the public and private sectors.

Gail started her career working for ad agencies, helping to create campaigns for a variety of clients including P&G, the Ministry of Sound, and the Labour Party. She then took a role in marketing at the BBC and over the next eight years was responsible for the strategy and delivery of many major projects, including the launches of CBeebies and BBC Three.

On leaving the BBC Gail co-founded the strategic communications consultancy GaillieGodfrey, delivering corporate campaigns and brand strategy to a mixture of commercial and philanthropic clients, including Sony Music, the Camden Roundhouse, and the Millennium Cities Initiative. During this period Gail also worked as a freelance consultant for Comic Relief.

In 2010 Gail was appointed CEO of the ad agency Fallon, part of the Publicis Group, delivering campaigns for clients including Cadbury, Eurostar and Skoda.






Haiyan Zhan

Haiyan Zhang, Innovation Director, Microsoft

Haiyan Zhang is a designer, technologist and maker of things.

She is Innovation Director at Microsoft Research Cambridge. Inventing cutting-edge technology to enable new “Connected Play” experiences. She is also an inventor appearing in the BBC documentary, Big Life Fix.

In her 18-year career in the Technology sector, Haiyan has worked hands-on in software engineering, user experience, hardware R&D, service design, Cloud platforms, design thinking and blue-sky envisioning. She continues to push on the boundaries where technology can transform people’s lives for the better.


Alexandra Willis

Alexandra Willis, Head of Communications, Content and Digital, The Championships, Wimbledon 

Alexandra has achieved industry-wide recognition in her use of technology to transform the perceptions of a traditional brand in her role at Wimbledon, building an award-winning digital and communications strategy that is at the heart of the long-term future of the brand. Through the combination of a content-first, platform second approach, a data-led audience strategy, and placing value on consistent innovation as well as continuous evolution, Alexandra has led Wimbledon to become one of the most well-respected digital brands in sport.  

She was named one of the BIMA 100 2018, Drum Digerati 2018 & 2017, Sports Technology Young Exec of the Year 2017, and Leaders Under 40 and Sport Industry NextGen Classes of 2016.  

She has an MA in History from Oxford University and an Executive MBA from Harvard Business School. 


Debbie Vavangas

Debbie Vavangas, UX Industrial Sector Lead, IBM iX

Debbie joined IBM as a graduate and has since set the bar for others, innovating and blazing a trail in ideation, experience and technology. Debbie is now a VP and runs the show at IBM iX UKI. Here in the UKI iX is home to over 500 designers, creative’s, technical superstars and data whizz kids and together they work hand-in-glove with clients to create human-centred experiences using technology to solve some of the biggest challenges faced in industries.

She has been instrumental at driving value with client executives through her personal vision for applying transformative and innovative solutions (enabled by digital technologies) to improve core business processes.

She is passionate about her clients, her diverse team and doing great work that speaks for itself. Debbie has been recognised for her leadership most recently in the BIMA 100 as an Agent For Change and the Everywoman Leader of the Year.


Pete Trainor

Pete Trainor, Designer, Author, Technologist and Mental Health Campaigner

Pete Trainor is a man on a mission - to bring design, data, Ai and technology together to empower humans to be happier and do more of what they’re good at.

Pete is the bestselling author of “Human-Focused Digital” and founder of a London based Artificial Intelligence firm focused on developing ground-breaking applications of smart-tech that make the world a radically better place.

He has a very simple philosophy: Don’t do things better, do better things.




Nick Moss

Nick Moss, Creative Director, R/GA 

As a Creative Director at R/GA, Nick helps shape and lead the creative vision for some of the agencies biggest clients, including Malaria No More, Nike, Samsung and Eurosport. Prior to R/GA, he has gained diverse experience in industry spending time at RKCR/Y&R, Fred + Farid Paris and adam&eveDDB He believes in the power of bringing systems and stories together which has resulted in award-winning work such as Make Google Do it, Nike Move with Hart, Google Year in Search, and Malaria Must Die. 


Kate Willis

Kate Wills, Director of Partnerships and Communications, Malaria No More UK

Kate Wills has been at Malaria No More for over 2 years during which she led the teams setting up the Malaria Must Die and Commonwealth Malaria commitment campaigns reaching over 1.3bn people and helping lead a historical commitment to halve malaria in 5 years, and investment of $4.1bn by business and science.  
With over 20 years’ experience in communications, she worked in television and consumer PR before returning to the roots of her International Relations degree and joining Divine fairtrade chocolate. Since then she has led award winning communications, partnerships and fundraising teams working with talent, PR and some of the world’s greatest creatives in order to shine a spotlight on vital issues including climate change, emergencies and youth entrepreneurship. She’s worked for, amongst others, Comic Relief, Unicef, Christian Aid and Islamic Relief, spending significant time in Ghana, Zambia, Uganda and India. 
She grew up in Malawi and Indonesia. Luckily never got malaria but can still taste the tablets she took every day. She’s impatient to end malaria and inspire the world that change is possible.  

Rob Campbell

Rob Campbell, Executive Strategy Director, R/GA EMEA 

As Executive Strategy Director, Rob Campbell leads R/GA’s strategy department across the EMEA region. In this role, Robdevelops and implements insights that shape the development of engaging campaigns, groundbreaking services, products,and platforms, and help R/GA’s clients transform at speed. 

With over 30 years of industry experience, Rob believes in creativity, culture, and chaos. As head of strategy, he and his team of brilliant strategists seek the most culturally resonant, creatively innovative ideas that will help R/GA’s clients create their future. 

Rob has lived in the UK, Australia, Singapore, Hong Kong, China and the US, developing strategies for airport lounges, space stations, and award winning, culture defining campaigns. Prior to R/GA, Rob worked at cynic, Google and Wieden+Kennedywhere collaborated with brands including Nike, Virgin Atlantic and Metallica. 

Rob co-runs the Advertising Planning School of the Web, the Wiegel/Campbell School of Strategic Arts, and a homeless lobby group Human_2.  


Victor Riparbelli

Victor Riparbelli, CEO at Synthesia 

Victor Riparbelli is the CEO of London based AI-startup Synthesia developing video synthesis technology. Their mission is to maximise human creativity and minimise harmful use of AI.

Synthesia technology enables brands and creators to automatically generate personalised, localised and interactive video content for their audiences. They recently delivered a campaign for Malaria No More featuring David Beckham that received more than 500m impressions."






Ankit Chhajer

Ankit Chhajer, Head of Artificial Intelligence, RBS / Natwest

Ankit is an award-winning technologist with vast experience in driving growth, innovation, digital transformation and building digital products in financial services. As Chief Product Owner at RBS/NatWest, Ankit has been at the forefront of the bank's drive to digital. He has lead various award-winning Digital Experience and Innovation teams, where he has helped the bank achieve best in class mobile-first onboarding, and whose industry-first digital products include PhotoID Checker, DigiDocs and account opening using a selfie . 

A SAFe® 4 Agilist, Ankit is currently leading the Artificial Intelligence team busy building the future of banking using Conversation AI and Voice assistance.  


Phil Stuart

Phil Stuart, Founder & Creative Director, PRELOADED 

Phil is founder and Creative Director of BAFTA-winning game studio PRELOADED. Since 2000 he has worked with game-based technologies to create playful, purposeful experiences for adults, young people and kids.

Over the past 18 months he has focussed on bringing purpose to immersive platforms; working with WITHIN on their voice-based AR story platform, exploring accessibility in AR with BBC R&D and partnering with VIVE Arts and Google VR on landmark factual experiences. Currently he is working with Magic Leap on a new MR educational experience.

Outside of PRELOADED he sits on BAFTA’s Games committee and BIMA’s Immersive Council. In 2019 he also gave his first TEDx talk: ‘Games with Purpose - a manifesto for the role of games beyond entertainment’.


Sol Rogers

Sol Rogers, CEO & Founder, Rewind 

Sol Rogers is the CEO and founder of REWIND. The company uses new technologies to deliver immersive (VR/AR/MR) solutions for the world’s largest companies, agencies, and brands.

Sol is also the Chairman of the BAFTA Immersive Entertainment Advisory Group and the Chairman of Immerse UK, the first nation-wide network for immersive companies. Sol's leadership of REWIND and his respected position within the industry sees him regularly speaking at international events, quoted in the media, and appearing on TV.

Prior to founding REWIND, Sol was a senior university lecturer for 15 years in digital animation, VFX and emerging technology. Teaching over 1,300 students, writing four degrees, two masters and supervising PHDs during his tenure.


Nicola Rosa

Nicola Rosa, Product Strategist at Accenture Digital

Product strategist, experience designer, and digital transformation expert, Nicola is currently part of the Accenture Digital UKI where he is the Go-To Market Lead for XR (AR,VR, and MR). A key part of his role is to use User Centric Design and Digital Transformation frameworks to create innovative, transformational, business sounding solutions for his clients using immersive technologies. Nicola is also a Design Thinking practitioner and trainer, and he has been invited to speak at industry events as the VRShow, VRWorld and TechXLR8 about user experience, product strategy, and the future of the immersive media. With more than 15 years of experience in the media and entertainment industry, Nicola worked for companies like Atari, Google, Spotify, Yahoo!, Virgin Radio and IBM iX designing B2E, B2B and B2C digital products and numerous App Store hits.





Alia Sheikh

Alia Sheikh, Senior Development Producer, BBC

Alia Sheikh is a director, producer, research scientist and a broadcast research engineer. Her work is focused on ensuring that the world's oldest national broadcasting organisation understands both the language and the narrative potential of future immersive formats. 


Maciej Zasada

Maciej Zasada, Technical Director, Unit9 

Maciej is a Founding Partner and CEO at Le Polish Bureau - a UNIT9 Company, a Technical Director at UNIT9, a TEDx speaker and a jury member at FWA. 

Armed with a Masters degree in Informatics and Stanford certificate in Machine Learning he primarily specialises in technical process optimisation, advanced AI, VR, AR and cutting edge HTML5 but nothing from back end, cloud computing, networking to iOS or Android development holds fear for him. 
His body of work includes a mind-blowing 3D web experience "Star Wars: Lightsaber Escape", Emmy winning dual-screen Chrome Experiment "Just a Reflektor", Adobe Cutting edge award winner Kingsman dual-screen experience and Cannes Lions / One show winner "MINI Maps" amongst many others. 


Emma Cooper

Business Development & Product Manager, Cooperative Innovations 

A member of this years BIMA 100 cohort Emma Cooper is Cooperative Innovation’s Business Development and Product Manager. Cooperative Innovations is an immersive technology studio based in Leeds. Emma is an accomplished leader in digital strategy and has worked in digital for nearly 20 years producing e-learning, marketing, multichannel storytelling and BAFTA winning games. In 2018, she managed the re-brand and re-launch of the National Videogame Museum in Sheffield and co-chaired the summit of Alternate Realities for Doc/Fest - in 2019 she continued as their Executive Producer. As an advisory board member of The Children’s Media Conference, Emma is also responsible for bringing ‘Playground’, an interactive art exhibition for children, to Sheffield. She also guest lectured on the Media degree at Sheffield Hallam university, showcasing her passion for fun in creative digital technologies to undergraduates.
