Content migration needs to be part of your content strategy

Moving content over from your old content management system to a new one needs to be an important part of your content strategy.

It’s a chance to completely understand the value of your content by reviewing it all and taking inventory, allowing you to determine what is valuable and what is not.

The review process should encompass all the unseen content - meta keywords, meta descriptions, and image tagging attributes (alt tags and titles), as they have a major impact on the indexing of your migrated web pages and images.

With the content review complete, your attention should turn to the migration tools for the job.
