I’ve loved being a part of the 2018 BIMA 100. Owen

1. Describe how it felt to be named as one of the BIMA 100?

Being named as one of the BIMA 100 gave me a huge lift at a challenging time professionally. It provided a confidence shot in the arm as I transitioned into a new phase of my career.

2. What’s the single biggest impact being part of the BIMA 100 has had on you?

The feeling that I do truly belong in this space - and the external recognition of that is immensely powerful. Imposter Syndrome is now in my past.

3. How have you benefitted from interacting with other BIMA 100 members?

The commonality you share with the rest of the 100 and the peer encouragement and positivity that pervades. I’ve loved being a part of the 2018 BIMA 100.

4. Complete the sentence: I would recommend nominating someone you know for the BIMA 100 because…

I nominated two other people for the 2018 BIMA 100 and the feeling I got seeing them inducted was at least as good as it felt being acknowledged myself.

5. Complete the sentence: Being a part of the BIMA 100 has been an invaluable experience because…

I now feel the UK’s Digital and Creative sector has accepted me as one of its own - and I’ve been given the confidence to accept my place within it.
